Freshly divorced and working in a grocery store, Celeste finds comfort and levity in a flirty online relationship with Bee, a rural Magic the Gathering fan in search of community and connection. Untethered is the story of the lengths people will go to avoid painful realities, and those they leave in their wake pursuing a reality that doesn’t exist. And it's got songs!

The writing of Untethered began in January 2022 at Western Washington University (WWU). Originally a project that started out as a Mainstage production for a WWU student club, Student Theatre Productions, we realized it need a little more time.
Summer of 2022 was when it came to life for the first time. On The Intersection Western Summer Theatre Company produced Untethered by showcasing 3 evenings of readings where we got valuable feedback regarding our musical. This got us even more excited and allowed us to grasp how special this script is to us. As we continue to workshop, we are submitting to festivals and conferences around the United States.
